ABOUT

The Harvard Graduate School of Design’s (GSD) Community Service Fellowship Program (CSFP) is a competitive 10-week summer experience designed to expose students to new challenges and work environments within non-profit organizations, public service sectors, and government agencies, while providing them with an opportunity to explore the intersection of academic theory and field experience.

 

Conceptualized in the Summer of 2007, the CSFP helps students understand research, navigate the work culture, and synthesize and address existing challenges in design on a national scale. The CSFP allows students to gain practical experience by providing guidance through the career search process, supervision/mentorship during the summer fellowship, and funding for the awardees.

 

Students can find and design their own experience or choose an experience designated within CREATE as a CSFP eligible site.
